Sanofi
Giorgio has interdisciplinary background in pure mathematics (MMaths, Oxford University) and systems biology PhD (Harvard Medical School). Giorgio’s academic research centered on applying quantitative biology approaches to (1) temporal dynamics of protein multimerization and aggregation in single cells (p53 and HSF1) and (2) the spatial organization of tumor microenvironment and its impact on tumor phenotypes. Giorgio joined Sanofi in January 2022 and he is currently the Systems Biology cluster head in the Target, Disease, and Systems Biology function. The group’s work leverages single cell and spatial genomics to fuel a wide range of projects around novel target identification, understanding drugs mechanism of action and patient heterogeneity - in tight collaboration with all of Sanofi’s R&D Therapeutic Areas.
