Vishwa Deep Dixit is the Waldemar Von Zedtwitz Professor of Comparative Medicine and Immunobiology at the Yale University. His research is focused on understanding the interactions between metabolic and immune systems with the goal to reveal molecular targets that can be harnessed to control inflammation and immune dysfunction as means to enhance the healthspan. The research in Dixit Laboratory is funded by the National Institutes of Health, Glenn Foundation for Aging Research and Cure for Alzheimer Foundation. Dr. Dixit completed Bachelor’s and Master’s of Veterinary Science in HAU, India. He conducted PhD coursework in Hisar, India and research work in University of Hannover through funding from German Academic Exchange Service Fellowship. Prior to Yale University, Dr. Dixit held faculty position at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center from the year 2006 to 2013. He conducted postdoctoral research work at the National Institutes of Health.
